how it works

Stedi Step® RV step stabilizing blocks are designed to eliminate the bounce of retractable steps when entering or exiting your RV or motorhome. They securely hold the bottom step from 2” up to 5½” from the ground. The short stepped side of the Stedi Step® begins at 2” tall with support notches every inch. By rotating the block 90 degrees, the long stepped side now begins at 2½” tall, again with support notches every inch. This combination provides support in 1/2” increments, allowing you to always have the correct size for easy use. Attach the Stedi Step® Riser to support the bottom step up to 8½” from the ground.

HOW TO USE

IMPORTANT!

Begin by setting your retractable steps in the down position. Turn off the steps so that they do not automatically retract when the door is closed.

Level your RV before setup, but leveling is not required.

Always use two Stedi Step® blocks at a time. Place one Stedi Step® block on either side of the bottom step. Turn the block from side to side to determine which side of the block has a support notch just above the bottom edge of the step. Lift the step and place it in the corresponding notch. Repeat for the opposite side. Stand on the bottom step- it should be solid without any bounce.

When using leveling jacks, Stedi Steps® may not be tall enough to support the bottom step. Attach the Stedi Step® Riser for support up to 8½” from the ground. The Riser has support points at 5”, 6”, 7” and 8” using the short side of the Stedi Step®. Attaching the Riser to the tall side of the Stedi Step® provides support at 5½”, 6½”, 7½”, and 8½”.

Be aware that your RV can settle when parked. This may cause the Stedi Step® blocks to become hard to remove. In this case, use your leveling jacks to slightly lift the RV and remove the blocks.

Always remove the Stedi Steps® before retracting your steps!
